1st / 2nd Line Support Technician.
Our Client based in Manchester is currently looking for an experienced 1st/2nd Line Support Technician.
You will be joining our expanding IT department! Seeking a proactive, customer-focused individual to enhance our team. Work independently on 1st/2nd line support, collaborating with Technology Leads and managing suppliers.
The Role:
- Own, maintain, and report on helpdesk support, ensuring IT efficiency.
- Standardize IT systems, policies, and documentation.
- Monitor key security factors, implementing improvements aligned with IT strategy.
- Collaborate with suppliers on IT projects, demanding best practice service.
- Provide user support and prioritize solutions.
- Identify opportunities for IT infrastructure improvement.
- Support IT solution development and user training.
- Perform agreed IT maintenance activities.
The Candidate:
- Motivated self-starter with strong customer service and organizational skills.
- Passionate about technology and continuous improvement.
- Values communication and collaboration.
- 3+ years' 1st/2nd Line support experience in an SME environment.
- Proficient in Active Directory, SharePoint online, VoIP, hardware support, and Microsoft 365.
- Vendor management experience.
Desirable Qualifications/Experience:
- Familiarity with Veeam, VMWare, ERP, and Mobile Device Management.
- Project involvement and IT certifications are a plus.
The Package:
- £25,000 - £29,000 PA.
- Profit-related pay, permanent contract.
- 35 hr week, Mon – Fri, with flexibility.
- 24 days holiday + bank holidays + Birthday.
- August shorter working hours, no salary impact.
