1st Line Engineer - Manchester
Location: Prestwich, Manchester (Hybrid - Office / Work from Home)
Our growing client based near Manchester is currently looking for a 1st Line Engineer; the ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to our client's internal users in a timely and professional manner. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, and IT capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1st line technical support via phone, email, and in person.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and applications.
- Collaborate with the IT team to resolve complex issues.
- Manage user accounts and assist with new hire setups.
- Document solutions and maintain IT inventory.
- Stay updated on technology trends and best practices.
- Occasional out-of-hours support is required.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in 1st line support.
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS and Office 365.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
