Application Database Engineer – Fully Remote – Up to £42,000
On behalf of our market-leading client based in Chester, we are recruiting for a talented Application Database Engineer. The Application Database Engineer will ensure customer queries are resolved quickly, thoroughly, and professionally.
The Application Database Engineer will be responsible for:
- As required, cover 24/7/365 (outside of core working hours) support service and participate in a call out rota to protect products and customers against service outages and degradation.
- Continually develop and maintain a knowledge base to increase the rate of Incident fix for products and services, escalating to 3rd line teams where required.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of best practice process for Incident, Problem, Requests and Event Management.
- Maintain communication and collaboration with business teams to ensure key updates are communicated to agreed standards
- Proactively identify trends to address problems before they become incidents.
The Application Database Engineer will have the following:
- Excellent application of technical procedures and maintaining technical knowledge base to rapidly resolve issues.
- Experienced in SQL Server, SSRS reporting and SSIS or equivalent database technologies Experienced in VB.NET, T-SQL, ASP.NET, WCF, C#, .NET Framework.
- Experienced in three tiers Windows/Web Application and Windows/Web Service development using. NET.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies and solutions.
- Performance-driven to ensure business and technology can be evidenced against agreed SLAs, CSFs and KPIs.
- Experience in ITIL operational support working practices.
