Application Support Engineer – Remote Working - Up to £30k

On behalf of our growing client based in Stockport, we are recruiting for an enthusiastic Application Support Engineer. As Application Support Engineer, you will support the day to day running of our clients’ back-office applications.

The Application Support Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Provide 2nd line support for the company’s suite of applications
  • Liaise with frontline support
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to become proficient with our applications and the business
  • Identify issues requiring escalation using database analytic skills (SQL) and possibly the analysis of source code
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and update them based on SLAs 

The Application Support Engineer will have the following:

  • Practical understanding of development processes, including change and release management
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn new technical skills
  • Display strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Display an ability to diagnose issues in complex software systems.
  • Excellent communication skills with technical and business teams
  • Ability to manage priorities in a fast-moving and challenging business
