Bid Coordinator – Up to £45k – Multiple Locations
On behalf of our well-established client who has offices based in Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, and London, we are recruiting for an experienced Bid Co-Ordinator.
Architects (the construction kind) are great at using space, it is their job, they Design, Build and Project Manage buildings that excite, unify, and sometimes create controversy. It takes a lot of creative skill to get an idea onto a page, then from the page and into bricks and mortar. What they are not so good at is turning the ideas in their head into compelling, bid worthy copy.
Can you translate the ramblings of the creative, or the technobabble of the geek into words someone might enjoy reading? Can you do that without losing the credibility of the underlying “voice” that is their world?
The perfect Bid Coordinator will be:
- Someone who acts as project manager with a good, ordered approach, as well as a literary creative. As boring as reality is, deadlines must be kept, and a bid schedule must be nurtured and well-resourced by you.
- The stuff you will need at least some knowledge of: Public Sector Frameworks and the type of language typically used in the construction world / built environment.
The duties of the Bid Coordinator will be:
- There are other bid professionals dotted around the country within this business, so you might not be the one putting the bids together most of the time (that’s the boring stuff anyway). You will probably either write or check most of the content that goes out, and proofread most documents, which is why a strong ability to write and communicate well is so important, but you’ll also be giving these people a kick up the backside if need be, because you’ll know what it takes to get things right, ahead of schedule.
They don’t need to recruit this position, they just want to because uniquely, they recognise the value a high-quality bid professional can give them.
