Business Development Manager – Insurance
Remote/Field Based | 1 day per week office attendance (North West or London)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a growing organisation operating within the insurance sector.
This role combines new business development with account management, focusing on building and developing relationships with insurance brokers, insurers, MGAs and affinity partners. You'll be responsible for growing existing accounts, identifying new opportunities and promoting a range of insurance and claims management services.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage broker, insurer and partner relationships.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities.
- Grow existing accounts and increase product uptake.
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline.
- Attend client meetings and industry events.
- Work closely with internal teams to support onboarding and service delivery.
- Prepare sales reports and pipeline updates.
About You
You'll have experience in business development or account management within the insurance industry and be confident developing long-term commercial relationships.
You'll also have:
- Experience working with brokers, insurers or MGAs.
- Strong sales and relationship management skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Commercial awareness and a proactive approach.
- Strong organisational and pipeline management skills.
Desirable
Experience with legal expenses insurance, ancillary insurance products, claims management services, affinity schemes, Acturis, Open GI or CII qualifications would be advantageous but is not essential.
