Cloud Data Engineer – Fully Remote – Circa £80k
On behalf of our global client that is based in Cheshire, we are recruiting for an experienced Cloud Data Engineer. As Cloud Data Engineer, you will have experience working in high performing agile teams, expertise in multiple programming languages, developing and scaling distributed systems, growing evolutionary architecture, going monolith to microservices, and developing products that integrate with cloud services.
The Cloud Data Engineer will be responsible for:
- Develop and deploy microservices-based products and solutions
- Automate, configure, and improve our data, analytics, and AI platform using a cloud-native approach
- Work with product and business stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver outcomes
- Participate in design and code reviews with peers to elevate the quality of engineering
The Cloud Data Engineer will have the following:
- Experience with AWS services and event-driven architecture
- Experience with Monolith to Microservices patterns and developing microservices
- JavaScript (ES6+, React, Express, and NodeJS) and/or Strong working knowledge of Python
- Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Container (e.g. Docker) technologies
- Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines
- Strong working knowledge of Git (e.g. Bitbucket) and CI/CD processes
- Strong quality and test-driven development ethics
