Data Architect – 100% Remote Working - Circa £100K
On behalf of our global client, we are currently recruiting for an experienced Data Architect. As Data Architect, you play a vital role to develop, optimize and oversee our client’s conceptual and logical data systems. Ideally, you will know how to examine new data systems requirements, support database structures, and implement migration models.
The Data Architect will be responsible for:
- Participate in helping with cloud-first database technologies like CQRS patterns
- Design and implement effective database solutions and models, to store and retrieve company data.
- Examine and identify database structural necessities by evaluating cloud-first application-based event-driven microservices
- Assess database implementation procedures to ensure they comply with internal and external regulations.
- Oversee and assist with the migration of data from legacy systems to new solutions.
- Recommend solutions to refactor and improve new and existing database systems.
- Participate in evaluating requirements, working with full-stack developers and product managers to provide solutions to end-users
The Data Architect will have the following:
- Expertise in creating highly scalable ways of data ingestions and analysis using technologies like AWS Kinesis Pipelines, AWS Glue, AWS Kenesis Analytics, etc.
- Extensive experience with the application of CQRS patterns and in using large cloud-based data repositories
- Very competent SQL skills for multiple platforms including RDMS services for PostgreSQL, NoSQL, MS SQL Server, MySQL, or DB2 (other system exposure a benefit)
- Knowledge of best practice for Data Quality Management, Master Data Management, and near real-time data warehousing
- Experience with ETL/ELT tools, preferably Informatica
- Strong commercial experience in a similar role
