Data Engineer – Hybrid Working – Up to £60k
On behalf of our growing client based in South Manchester, we are recruiting for a talented Data Engineer. As Data Engineer you will be required to architect, develop, and design new components and improve the existing components in a highly scalable platform.
The Data Engineer will be responsible for:
- Be the owner and driver of database schema and architecture for the specific software modules and how they interact with other internal and external enterprise applications.
- Build and maintain functions that assist users of the CPT CRM to undertake key activities such as the generation of weekly broker reports and monthly broker statements, verifying and importing supplier commission statements and managing broker commission profiles.
- Update and maintain the test DB that is used by restoring the content of the Live DB on request.
- Responsible for the data layer architecture of the platform.
- Manage data fix support tickets.
- Responsible for the security, performance and scalability of the application from database architecture and engineering perspective
- Design and maintain the multi-tenancy and data security mechanism for the platform
The Data Engineer will have the following:
- Excellent understanding of data modelling and data schema design.
- Excellent understanding of SQL and DB queries and tuning.
- Experience in designing DB architecture in a Micro Services Architecture based environment.
- Experience in MS Azure Cloud technologies.
- Expert knowledge in the data mart and data analysis tools.
- Expert knowledge of MS SQL Server including T-SQL.
- Knowledge in all key components of Cloud, including SaaS, containerization etc.
- Knowledge of tools such as Power BI.
- Knowledge of ASP.NET, C#, Entity Framework, Angular, HTML, JavaScript, CSS and jQuery is nice to have.
