DataOps Engineering Lead – Manchester
On behalf of our market-leading client based in Manchester, we are recruiting for a DataOps Engineering Lead. As DataOps Engineering Lead you will work closely with engineering resources to ensure enterprise data warehouse solutions and assets are actionable, accessible, and evolving in lockstep with the needs of the ever-changing model.
The DataOps Engineering Lead will be responsible for:
- Partner with business and data analysts to design, develop and maintain data pipelines, data governance compliance, procedures, and tools to support data warehousing.
- Day-to-day support of the data warehouse and troubleshoots existing procedures and processes.
- Defines and promotes the department’s best practices and design principles for data warehousing techniques and architecture.
- Guide the business in identifying any new data needs and delivery mechanisms for acquiring and reporting such information as well as addressing the actual needs
- Designs and develops systems for the maintenance of the business’s data warehouse, ETL processes, and business intelligence.
- Analyse all data from sources and develop logical models for various business intelligence sources.
The DataOps Engineering Lead will have the following:
- Experience in a managerial role or running teams
- Strong Business Intelligence experience with proven data warehousing, data management and analytics skills.
- Experience working with SQL Server integration services or any similar ETL tools.
- Deep experience/understanding of all elements of data management
- Demonstrable experience in delivering highly scalable data platforms
- Expertise leading data warehousing strategy and implementation.
- Experience gathering requirements and understanding the needs of diverse stakeholders.
- Strong experience in SQL.
