Development and Cloud Support Engineer
Our client based in Sheffield is currently looking for a Development and Cloud Support Engineer. You will resolve escalated software, hardware, and cloud support requests. Provide high-level technical information to global engineering teams, identify project opportunities, and support the company's move into hybrid and cloud solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage technical issues, communicate clearly, and ensure fault resolution.
- Provide timely, accurate support to internal engineering teams.
- Reproduce systems for investigations and maintain the hardware support environment.
- Collaborate with Product Management to prioritize and communicate product issues.
- Filter, classify, and issue technical release notes, collaborating with development teams.
- Deploy and support the security software platform based on containerized services.

Experience and Qualifications:
- 2nd or 3rd line technical support experience.
- Strong hardware and software troubleshooting skills.
- Windows-based operating systems troubleshooting.
- IT Networking knowledge.
- Exposure to basic cloud/Azure services.
- Database knowledge.
- Understanding of virtualization technologies.
- Degree in computing/software development/IT/networking or equivalent.
Beneficial Skills/Experience:
- Awareness of the surveillance market and integrated security systems.
- Experience in Windows Server, Enterprise Storage Platforms, Active Directory, SQL Server/IBM DB2 Admin, Virtualization, WAN/LAN networking.
- Understanding of enterprise-scale storage solutions.
- Cisco or other advanced networking qualifications.
- Knowledge of Java.
- Awareness of a DevOps working environment.
