DevOps Engineer – Hybrid Working/Manchester - £65k
On behalf of our rapidly growing client based in Manchester, we are recruiting for a talented DevOps Engineer. As DevOps Engineer, you will play a vital role in our client’s migration to cloud-based infrastructure and ways of working.
The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for:
- Building and maintaining the core AWS platform where you will transition to migrating existing platform features (Kubernetes, Databases, etc)
- Helping developers get the best out of the new cloud platform
- Ensuring good governance and best practices are followed and automated where possible
The DevOps Engineer will have the following:
- Strong, demonstrable experience of AWS and scripting deployments automatically.
- Enthusiasm for understanding and learning a wide range of technologies.
- Troubleshooting cloud infrastructure problems and Linux OS issues.
- Network security fundamentals.
- Experience working directly with software engineering teams.
- Creating infrastructure through automation (Terraform preferred)
- Experience in configuration management such as Puppet.
- Docker / container management
