DevOps Engineer – Remote Working – Up to £70k

On behalf of our growing client based near Manchester, we are recruiting for a talented DevOps Engineer.

The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Manage improvements across the platform relating to Observability and Proactive Monitoring
  • Provide oversight of infrastructure including installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software and system management tools. 
  • Identify potential issues and proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure accessibility
  • Monitor and test performance of applications, foreseeing potential bottlenecks and identifying possible solutions
  • Harden security, including backup and redundancy strategies
  • Utilize security solutions and common defensive techniques to mitigate threats to our infrastructure, network, and applications
  • Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower downtime due to required human intervention

The DevOps Engineer will have the following:

  • Experience with Azure and its IaaS and PaaS offerings, Azure CLI, AppInsights, Azure Monitor, Azure Defender/Sentinel
  • Strong scripting experience with PowerShell or Bash or Python.
  • Strong networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP) including network security and TLS/SSL
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines
  • Proven working experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows and/or Linux based environments
  • Experience of working in high growth, a private equity-backed technology business.
