Foundation Data Engineer – Manchester - £20k-£25k
On behalf of our global client based near Manchester, we are recruiting for an enthusiastic Foundation Data Engineer. As a Foundation Data Engineer, you will be enrolled on a 17-month apprenticeship programme where you will focus on developing the knowledge and skills required of a Data Engineer in detail.
The Foundation Data Engineer will cover the following modules:
- Core concepts of data architecture and cloud technologies, including data warehousing, Business Intelligence, Big Data and Cloud architectures.
- Focus on user experience, understanding customer requirements and risk management which enable learners to appreciate who their users are and understand the ‘why’ behind their data engineer roles.
- Data Analysis and statistics module progresses learning to explore engineering techniques, methods, and statistical analysis methodologies – you will be introduced to programming languages Python and R.
The Foundation Data Engineer will have one of the following:
- Level 3 qualification in ICT or a similar subject and at least 12 months of work experience and robust on-boarding plan
- OR 2 A-Levels (Including Maths or ICT)
- OR a non-business-related degree and at least 6 months of work experience
