Infrastructure Engineer - Austin, Texas - $80,000-$85,000
Interviewing and onboarding for this role will be going ahead remotely while Covid-19 restrictions are in place.
On behalf of our market leading client, we are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer in Austin, Texas. You will be responsible for monitoring existing Network Management Systems and respond to alarms and escalate when necessary.
The skills and responsibilities for a Infrastructure Engineer are:
● Monitoring key platforms via the NMS (network monitoring system) & reporting off the back of it.
● IIS management, which entails creating new sites, assigning the relevant IP addresses
● Management of the Anti-Virus administration sever which governs all servers across the platform. This includes scheduling scans, quarantining any suspected viruses and reporting off the back of this.
● Processing Change Requests as they are raised and scheduling deployments for QA, CTE and Production environments ensuring all changes are checked and deployed according to implementation plans, raising any discrepancies when required.
● Administration of a VMware platform using V-Motion & ESXi 6.5. All virtualised servers in our clients platform utilise this technology.
● Configuring and maintaining QA, CTE & Production virtual platforms, including the design and deployment of new servers, sites and services.
