IT Analyst – Lancashire – Up to £35k
On behalf of our growing client based in Lancashire, we are recruiting for an enthusiastic IT Analyst. As an IT Analyst, you will be responsible for prioritising user requirements, overseeing system upgrades and researching new tools.
The IT Analyst will be responsible for:
- Pick up tickets from the IT helpdesk platform and ensure they are responded to within the operational level agreement between the IT function and the business
- Escalate tickets to the development or business analyst functions as appropriate
- Monitor IT systems proactively to ensure they are maintained in good working order
- Responsible for checking and ensuring daily backups have been completed
- Monitoring system security and patching levels
- Design efficient IT systems to meet business and technology needs
- Plan and oversee projects (e.g., upgrades, hardware/software installations)
- Provide advice and technical training
The IT Analyst will have the following:
- Proven experience providing desktop and telephony support
- Exposure to databases, system security and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of telephony system administration
- Understanding of business practices
- Knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols
- Knowledge of Microsoft SQL scripting and some database administration exposure
- Knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including a good working knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols
