IT Manager - West Sussex
Our client based in West Sussex is currently looking for an experienced IT Manager with good SQL Server experience.
Responsibilities and Duties:
As our IT Manager, you will:
Network and Systems Management:
- Ensure seamless connectivity and optimal performance of our computer networks.
- Oversee configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of servers and hardware components.
- Provide proactive IT & technical support to all staff, addressing issues promptly.
Security Management:
- Develop and implement robust security processes and measures to safeguard our IT systems and data.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents, conducting regular audits to ensure compliance with industry best practices.
Database Management:
- Manage and optimize databases using Crystal reports and SQL to ensure data integrity and efficient access.
- Develop and implement backup and recovery procedures for critical databases.
SQL and Report Development:
- Design and develop SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyse data.
- Create visually appealing and user-friendly reports that effectively communicate insights.
- Collaborate with colleagues to understand reporting needs and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Automation and Data Validation:
- Implement automation for recurring reports to streamline the reporting process.
- Perform data validation and quality assurance to ensure the accuracy and reliability of reports.
Requirements:
To excel in this role, you'll need:
- Proven experience in IT management, with a focus on network, server, and security administration.
- Proficiency in coding and SQL.
- Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills with a proactive and hands-on approach.
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Experience with Crystal reports.
- Strong knowledge of IT systems, hardware, and software.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive attitude and a commitment to delivering exceptional IT services.
- Willingness to engage in both routine tasks and strategic IT projects.
- IT certifications and relevant qualifications are advantageous.
