IT Support Technician
Our client based in Sheffield is currently looking for a 1st Line Support Technician.
We are seeking a diligent and proactive IT Support Technician for 1st line support to temporarily fill in for a team member on maternity leave.
You will be playing a key role within our IT department as the first point of contact for our users, ensuring smooth and efficient IT support within our organisation. Working in a small team and reporting to the Group IT Manager, you will be responsible for the triaging of IT support tickets, aiming for a first-touch fix for approximately 300 users around the globe.
Responsibilities:
- Helpdesk Support: Respond to IT service desk tickets, offering solutions and guidance for end-user issues.
- Asset Rollout/Management: Oversee the deployment, management, and maintenance of IT hardware and software assets.
- Multi-Site Support: Provide IT support across various sites, ensuring all our operations stay connected and run efficiently.
- Project Support: Participate in IT projects, taking instructions and working independently to ensure successful completion.
Skills and Experience:
- Excellent communication skills, capable of liaising with both internal and external customers.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Service-focused mindset.
- Experience supporting IT within an organisation.
- Prior experience in a service desk or helpdesk environment is advantageous
- Hands-on experience with networking, Windows environments and hardware.
- Familiarity with servers and Office 365.
- Microsoft Intune experience would be a distinct advantage
