IT Support Technician

Join our clients Group IT team, where you’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality technical support across multiple departments and companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first and second-line support via a central help desk.
- Diagnose and resolve issues with IT and telephony equipment.
- Monitor IT systems proactively to ensure efficiency and minimise downtime.
- Carry out planned maintenance with minimal disruption to core business functions.
- Liaise with third-party suppliers and support providers.
- Maintain system and user security, including access control and password management.
- Contribute to a culture of continual improvement by identifying opportunities for process enhancements.
- Ensure all work adheres to Health & Safety and company guidelines.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a 1st/2nd line IT support role.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems, Microsoft 365, Office Suite, and Active Directory.
- Solid understanding of basic networking (DHCP, DNS, routing).
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong problem-solving and organisational abilities.
- Awareness of Health & Safety practices.
Desirable:
- Experience with Entra (Azure), Intune.
- PBX Management/Maintenance.
- Knowledge of enhanced networking.
- VMWare experience.
- Backup and data storage management skills.
