Junior Support Technician – Manchester – Up to £25k
On behalf of our international client, we are recruiting an enthusiastic Junior Support Technician for their Manchester Office. As Junior Support Technician, you will be the first point of call providing software and hardware support to users, installing software and hardware on relevant machines, setting up AV/projector equipment and taking responsibility for first-line support calls.
The Junior Support Technician will be responsible for:
- Provide 1st line support for PC Hardware and Software and mobile device queries.
- Set up, install, configure, and deploy new IT equipment
- Set up AV/projector rooms for internal and client meeting requests
- Perform any computer/desk moves where required
- Promote the helpdesk as the primary contact point between the IT department and the user community
- Ensure IT Support calls are being resolved in an efficient and effective manner
- Responsible for documentation of work
The Junior Support Technician will have the following:
- Experience in first-line client-facing IT Support
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (365) applications
- Basic Knowledge of Ricoh MFD Printers
- Knowledge of Smart Phone technology (Samsung/iPhone)
- Desktop operating systems experience (Windows 10). Basic knowledge of servers and Active Directory would be useful but not essential
- Knowledge of web browsers (Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge, Firefox, Google Chrome and Safari)
- Intelligent, quick logical mind. Ability to analyse and troubleshoot a problem arriving at a logical solution
- Good communication skills (both written and oral) are paramount.
- The ability to balance working under pressure with a need to escalate and respond to client demands
