Lead Developer – Hybrid Working – Up to £70k
On behalf of our growing client based in Crewe, we are recruiting for a talented Lead Developer. As Lead Developer, you will lead a software development team by example and contribute to improving the overall development processes and tools.
The Lead Developer will be responsible for:
- Work effectively as part of a multi-disciplined software engineering team to maintain existing systems and develop new features according to business requirements.
- Hands-on development and delivery experience with a broad mix of languages and technologies.
- Foster an environment of trust and open dialogue.
- Working closely with technical and non-technical areas of the business to develop new solutions and initiatives.
- Ensure software best practices are adhered to in terms of refactoring, debugging, writing maintainable code and continuous integration/deployment principles.
- Experience working with and maintaining cloud-hosted solutions.
- Line Management, mentoring and support of a small software development team.
The Lead Developer will have the following:
- Leading the development and maintenance of web and backend systems (ideally in cloud-hosted environments)
- Managing a small team of software developers
- Architecture Design Principles
- Solid .NET experience with both the full .NET framework and .NET Core including:
- Web (Webforms & MVC), API and backend service development
- RESTful API principles
- Entity Framework
- Integration with third-party APIs
