Software Developer .NET, VBA, SQL Server
Our client, based in Bolton, is currently looking for a skilled Software Developer to join its Software Innovation Team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Lead Developer and Project Manager to design, develop, and maintain our client's internal-based systems. Your contributions will be crucial in enhancing existing systems and developing new ones from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Development: Design, develop, and support internal systems, adhering to design standards and guidelines.
- Database Management: Implement and manage databases, ensuring robust data structures and security.
- Maintenance & Support: Provide day-to-day support for existing systems, ensuring smooth operation and prompt issue resolution.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Lead Developer and Project Manager to achieve project objectives.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance to Junior Developers as needed.
- Documentation: Produce and maintain relevant documentation.
Technical Skills:
- Minimum two years of coding experience with proficiency in VBA, VB.Net, C#, ASP.Net, and SQL Server.
- Experience developing console batch processes, user interface applications, and API integrations.
- Knowledge of file structures (CSV, XML, JSON) and experience in the insurance or financial sector is a plus.
