Network Engineer – Crewe - £30k - £45k

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced network engineer to join a growing ecommerce business on a remote basis.
The duties of the network engineer will include but not be limited to:
- Working with the IT and Development teams to determine current networking configurations
- Enhancing and supporting any current infrastructure, troubleshooting any errors and inefficiencies
- Ensuring network and any data exchange is managed in a secure manner
- Maintaining and monitoring firewalls, and other methods of network traffic
- Supporting the IT team with other areas of IT where possible which includes, but is not limited to: Desktops and peripherals, Servers, Communications, Security
- Maintaining, upgrading and supporting our telephony platform
The successful network engineer will have.
- 3+ years of commercial experience working as a Network Engineer or IT Engineer
- Solid networking experience with Cloud Solutions (Azure (preferred), AWS)
- Experience working with firewalls and managed switches (Fortinet preferred)
- Experience with VOIP telephony and PCI platforms
- Experience in other areas of IT outside of networking
Desirable skills include
- General knowledge of Azure platform
- Experience working across multiple sites
- Familiarity with command level consoles (Powershell, CMD, Bash)
