PHP Developer - Stockport - £50K
Adria Solutions Ltd has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic PHP Developer to join our expanding client in Stockport. As an PHP Developer, you will join a growing team of developers and testers working on an extensive, complex web application driven by microservices for our client.
The duties of the PHP Developer will include but not be limited to:
- Day to day maintenance of existing and future iterations
- Work as a core part of a small agile team to deliver usable functionality to the business
- Leading projects to improve and extend the functionality of the application and taking responsibility for working to deadlines on such projects.
- Understanding and challenging requirements to ensure technical delivery matches business expectations
- Accurately estimate works to be undertaken
- Undertake code reviews as appropriate for the agile team
Essential skills and experience:
- Commercial experience in an agile development function
- Understanding of wider development theory:
• MVC
• OOP
• TDD (Test Driven Development)
• Functional Programming
• Microservices
• Event driven
• Concurrency vs Parallelism
• Security best practices
• SQL
• NoSQL
• API Design patterns
- Strong experience with PHP, Linux, GIT for SCM, Unit Testing frameworks.
- Experience of Development in a Docker Environment.
- Full Stack Experience Desirable.
