Quality Consultant

Quality Consultant – Stockport – Up to £40k

On behalf of our rapidly growing client based in Stockport, we are currently recruiting for a talented Quality Consultant. As Quality Consultant you will speak the domain language of the business stakeholders and technical language of the delivery team members working with teams to bring expertise to test activities.

The Quality Consultant will be responsible for:

• Supporting implementation of best practice test and QA process and procedure, documenting activity and coaching and mentoring colleagues to improve awareness and educate the business in this area of specialism
• Develop and provide test plans and scripts to support the SCRUM team or clients
• Development and management of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as part of the Technology teams
• Execute testing activities and supply clear documentation when reporting defects to assist teams with identifying causes
• Support teams to validate defects, exploring and documenting steps to re-create issues raised
• Investigation of new testing methods, frameworks, and reporting

The Quality Consultant will have the following:

• Experience in a Test and/or QA role within an Agile environment
• Working knowledge of testing methodologies and best practice
• Experience implementing and managing testing processes
• Some degree of technical knowledge to collaborate in defining testability aspects of developed software
• Ability to understand context and the understand its changing nature and adjust accordingly
