Quality Lead Engineer – Manchester/Remote - £70k
On behalf of our market-leading client based in Manchester, we are recruiting for an enthusiastic Quality Lead Engineer. As Quality Lead Engineer, you will act as an assurance gateway ensuring that any change of business process or the technical solution is fit for purpose and managing the acceptance process into the operational business areas.
The Quality Lead Engineer will be responsible for:
- Provide leadership and direction to the Testing Team. To engineer quality into the data services team and data services products.
- Define best practices, provide guidance to the quality team, and create a quality framework for testing in data services.
- The management and performance of all staff in their team, ensuring the team have the relevant level of resources, skills & experience to meet the business needs.
- Manage acceptance process into the relevant operational business areas
- Understand and communicate complex issues to both technical and non-technical team members
- Leading the team and supporting assigned work packages to deliver work to agreed timescales and quality
The Quality Lead Engineer will have the following:
- Expert practical knowledge of testing and testing automation
- Extensive experience gained working with web-based applications and Azure cloud technologies
- Expert knowledge of all stages of the database development and test lifecycle
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in performing 1-2-1s, proactively dealing with people issues, staff motivation & development.
