Security Operations Engineer – Fully Remote – Up to £90k
On behalf of our growing client, we are recruiting for an exceptional Security Operations Engineer. As Security Operations Engineer, you will help build easy-to-use, automated, secure, reliable, and observable systems as well as processes that allow the teams to efficiently use the infrastructure to launch, operate and deliver high-quality solutions and services to partners and clients across the globe.
The Security Operations Engineer will be responsible for:
- Develop information security policies, processes, and controls to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our client’s systems and solutions while managing their 3rd party assessment and certification.
- Empower other teams by providing self-service tools and education to create a smarter more effective and secure organization
- Communicate well with teams and leaders of the organization; have good listening skills and ask great questions.
- Work cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders on security, tools, architecture, planning and delivery of multiple concurrent projects.
- Build strong relationships with partners and vendors while managing 3rd party assessment programs
- Effectively manage access controls across on-premises and cloud environments
The Security Operations Engineer will have the following:
- Experience of progressively increasing responsibility and demonstrated success in a cybersecurity operations role
- Experience in the development of policies, processes, and controls to ensure the availability and security of the entire network and technology stack.
- Strong understanding of the information security domain. CISSP or other equivalents security-related certification is a plus.
- Proficiency with at least one scripting or programming language
- Experience working with CI/CD tools and monitoring systems
- In-depth knowledge of common cybersecurity and privacy frameworks such as NIST, HIPAA, SOC2, GDPR, HITRUST, or FedRAMP.
- In-depth network and system engineering experiences including certificates, DNS, firewalls, routing, server management
