Senior Application Database Engineer – Fully Remote – Up to £52k
On behalf of our market-leading client based in Chester, we are recruiting an experienced Senior Application Database Engineer. As Senior Application Database Engineer, you will be responsible for the robust application of technical product and system knowledge and the application of processes to support timely resolution and communication of issues.
The Senior Application Database Engineer will be responsible for:
- Take a leading role to ensure a best-in-class customer service to customers and a best-in-class 2nd line technical and operational support service to 1st line Customer Support and Technology 3rd line Product Delivery functions.
- As required, cover 24/7/365 service, and participate in a call out Rota to protect our clients’ products and customers against service outages and degradation.
- Take a leading role to continually develop and maintain a knowledge base to increase the rate of Incident fix for products and services, escalating to 3rd line teams where required.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of best practice process for Incident, Problem, Requests and Event Management.
- Maintain communication and collaboration with business teams to ensure key updates are communicated to agreed standards.
- Take a leading role to regularly review and analyse incidents to identify problems, workarounds, fixes, and improvements opportunities.
The Senior Application Database Engineer will have the following:
- Excellent application of support process, including Incident, Problem, Request, Event and Change Management.
- Experienced in a 2nd line Technical Operations or Support role, specifically from a SQL or DBA team with exposure to database design and performance tuning.
- Excellent experience providing best-in-class customer service to end-users, including regular meaningful communication.
- Excellent application of technical procedures and maintaining technical knowledge base to rapidly resolve issues.
- Experienced in SQL Server, SSRS reporting and SSIS or equivalent database technologies Experienced in VB.NET, T-SQL, ASP.NET, WCF, C#, .NET Framework.
- Experienced in three tiers Windows/Web Application and Windows/Web Service development using. NET.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies and solutions.
