Senior Data Engineer – Fully Remote – Up to £85k
On behalf of our leading client based in Manchester, we are recruiting for an exceptional Data Engineer. As Data Engineer, you will help support our clients as they build a new data platform that aims to empower Data Analysts to provide better insights to Product Analysts, as well as empower Data Scientists to run experiments in more efficient and trusted data environment.
The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for:
- Driving design and development of data models.
- Implementation and delivery of Data Mesh like solutions for interoperability among various data sets.
- Leading the exploration of data-centric platform technologies and implementing the technologies that you recommend.
- Ensuring data integrity & quality through monitoring and alerting tools
- Planning robust systems that gracefully recover from outages and system issues
- Provide support for both Analytics and Operational Platforms
The Senior Data Engineer will have the following:
- Proven experience with Apache Spark
- Proficiency in programming languages like Python and Pyspark
- Hands-on experience with Databricks
- AWS Skills
- S3 for the Data Lake
- Athena
- Performance tuning
- CI with Databricks
- SQL
