Senior Software Business Analyst – Circa £70k
On behalf of our market-leading client, we are recruiting for a Senior Software Business Analyst. As Senior Software Business Analyst, you will be responsible for business and technical analysis of new products and features and works closely with product managers and software engineers to drive great outcomes.
The Senior Software Business Analyst will be responsible for:
- Meets regularly with the Product Manager to stay in touch with the needs of the business, priorities, and what is needed from Engineering.
- Become a subject matter expert for the relevant product area, familiar with product features, user workflows, user objectives and motivations, and business rationale.
- Collaborates with UX designers to enable them to iterate on and deliver high fidelity design prototypes.
- In accordance with best practices, writes user stories with clear acceptance criteria that translate business requirements into technical and functional requirements with appropriate scope.
- Reviews user stories with Scrum Team to ensure the team understands the desired outcomes and ensures alignment of planned implementation with expectations of Product Management.
- Prioritizes product backlog in agreement with Product Management priorities.
- Become familiar with software architecture to understand what components are affected by product and feature requests.
The Senior Software Business Analyst will have the following:
- Experience in roles such as business analyst, business systems analyst, technical analyst, technical product owner, or other similar roles.
- Previous experience interacting with software development teams in an Agile environment.
- Previous experience as a Scrum Product Owner is preferred, but not required.
- Ability to work across geographically distributed cross-functional teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present complex business and technical concepts to various stakeholders and team members.
