Senior Software Engineer – Chester/WFH – Up to £60k
On behalf of our rapidly growing client, we are recruiting for an experienced Senior Software Engineer. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be working within an agile team, building high-performing, scalable, enterprise-grade online applications and services.
The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for:
- Develop, engineer, and integrate components using the chosen technologies and design patterns
- Propose innovative solutions to internal stakeholders and design authority boards
- Follow user experience guidelines
- Aware of and address is known security vulnerabilities, applying security by design
- Shape documentation
- Provide advanced component technical support
- Resolve issues prior to and the following testing
- Mentor/train/coach other team members as needed
The Senior Software Engineer will have:
- Excellent knowledge of C# .NET, ideally with commercial experience with .NET Core.
- Experience with JavaScript technologies and frameworks
- Demonstrate, and champion with others, good habits in unit testing, mocking, stubbing, and test-driven design approaches.
- Broad knowledge in design and architectural patterns, and excellent knowledge of OOP concepts.
- Experience of REST API design
- Experience with structured logging, ideally using the ELK stack
- Good commercial awareness and the ability to identify and recommend product enhancements.
- Must be confident using Git Source Control
- Experience with Azure/AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes is an advantage
