Software Engineer – Hybrid Working – Up to £50k
On behalf of our growing client based in Manchester, we are recruiting a talented Software Engineer. As Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, testing, and building applications for automated robotic systems, working closely with the hardware.
The Software Engineer will be responsible for:
- Design, develop, and test software applications for robotic systems
- Establish efficient methods for developing software
- Collaborate with other engineers to define functional requirements and build prototypes
- Contribute innovative ideas and solutions to solve problems
- Create and maintain technical documentation
- Contribute improvements to the team’s working practices
The Software Engineer will have the following:
- Excellent knowledge of Python, Linux
- Experience working with physical systems/robotics
- Experience with communication protocols such as UART, CAN, I2C, etc.
- Experience producing technical documentation
- Ability to work independently, take initiative and prioritise work
- Ability to carry out work in an organized manner
