Software Support – Stockport
During Covid-19 restrictions, work will initially be primarily via your own home office with some travel to the office as required for training purposes.
An excellent opportunity has become available for an experience software support candidate to join a leading software company that operates on a national and international basis.
The successful Software Support candidates duties will include:
- Designing, building testing and supporting the delivery of web application solutions, working with UK and international customers
- Working with .NET applications that utilise the windows workflow foundation
- Using SQL / Oracle databases for back end
- Working with new and existing customer accounts to ensure issues and requests are dealt with promptly
- Solid scripting experience would be a big bonus (VBscript, Javascript, C#)
It is essential that the successful candidate will have the following skills and experience
- Experience with programming languages – VBScript, JavaScript, C#
- Relation database and structured query languages experience
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities
- Must be willing to travel the UK and internationally to meet customers once restrictions are lifted
Desirable skills include
- 2D/3D CAD Experience
- Experience using APIS
- Experienced in network configuration, web technologies, technical documentation writing, in-depth knowledge of windows and window server platforms or SSIS
