Technical Author – Northwich – Up to £35k
On behalf of our market-leading client based in Northwich, we are currently recruiting for a talented Technical Author. As Technical Author, you will be involved in the documentation of a new browser-based version of our client’s desktop product, as well as the existing released product suite.
The Technical Author will be responsible for:
- Create and maintain various application documentation.
- Partake in a peer-review approach to the material.
- Create instructive, easy-to-follow guides using screen images and videos to aid an explanation.
- Working closely with other members of the development team to understand the applications in depth.
- Reviewing and producing user documentation for software modifications produced by the development team. Development documentation will have previously been compiled and be made available.
The Technical Author will have the following:
- Experience in producing application documentation in a software house environment.
- Critical thinking, ability to express complex ideas in simple text, or graphical design skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good Microsoft Office skills.
- Good planning and organisational skills – able to prioritise work effectively
