Web Designer – Blackpool – Circa £25k-£30k
On behalf of our growing client based in Blackpool, we are recruiting for an enthusiastic Web Designer. As a Web Designer, you will work within the eCommerce Content team, supporting the creation and build of all onsite content, as well as creating digital assets for marketing channels.
The Web Designer will be responsible for:
- Working closely with the Digital Designers within the eCommerce Content team, you will support the creation and build of all online content.
- Supporting the creation of assets for digital marketing channels, using Photoshop, Animate and AfterEffects (or similar programmes) to create industry-leading content.
- Making CSS, HTML and JavaScript change to the site, using the Web Content Management System to upload and edit online content.
- Translating designs into HTML, creating inspiring content pieces onsite such as seasonal Style Edits and Gift Guides.
- Using your image editing skills to enhance assets and optimise them for use online.
- Keep abreast of industry best practices for areas such as SEO, accessibility, and mobile-first design, ensuring that these factors are considered in everything you do.
The Web Designer will have the following:
- HTML/CSS coding skills
- Skilled at working with Adobe Creative Suite/Cloud, particularly Photoshop, Animate and AfterEffects
- A passion for eCommerce and content
- Basic understanding of SEO
- Strong creative flair
- A keen eye for detail
- Excel working towards deadlines and in a fast-paced, reactive environment
